New Bohemians: THE SOCIALITE

Name: Thomas Baber

Occupation: Anesthesiologist.

Years in New York:  Three and a half years.

Hometown: San Diego, California.

What brought you to New York?  I wanted change, I was bored.

What do you love about the city?  There’s always something new to discover.

What do you hate? Not enough trees, and the beaches suck.

What’s your definition of a New Yorker? Someone who can navigate around the city with ease and knows enough people and places to have a good time.

Best or worse New York moment? The first winter I moved here I got stuck in a snowstorm. Finally found a cab but was forced to get out and walk in my scenester boots for a half hour cause I couldn’t afford to pay the cab driver.

What three things are you addicted to right now?  The color blue, chocolate, my special friend Dan.

What one New York job would you want to do, if you weren't who you are? Porn star.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In New York.

If God were an animal, what would it be? A donkey.

What do you think the difference is between faith and religion? Religion is a set of beliefs and codes. Faith is believing or trusting in things.
