AMY KALYN SIMS

amy kalyn sims

Amy Kalyn Sims, a native Floridian, is a freelance photographer now living in New York City.  She is known for her fine art photography as well as her portraiture, food, travel and still-life work.

Travel photography remains her favorite subject in fine art but she experiments with a wide variety of photographic techniques including using her gutted Holga camera.  The light leaks created by removing the insides help to form an old fashioned and evocative feeling. The photos are often vignetted, and when using color film, the color of the light leaks will vary depending on the time of day and strength of the sun.
