What Are You Doing This Summer?
Photography by Zoe Day
With the hefty rent that we have to pay in New York, it seems that a lot of us are all staying pretty local for the sweaty days of Summer in order to stay afloat. We’re in a recession! But either way, it is summa time and we all need treats and retreats. Whether its going to some foreign land or a weekend away upstate, it is necessary to take a break. So on a journey around Williamsburg, Working Class stopped and asked some folks what their big plans were for the summer.

Tommy: I want to take my first cruise ever.

Sabrina: Workin', and Cali and Vegas.

Henrik: Running the pizza shop. I'm part owner so it's a full time job. And I'm going to see some shows.

Melissa: I'm protesting the traveling ban by traveling to Cuba illegally.

Jeff: Trying to make big choices with small opportunities.

Song: Learning to cook Korean food from maangchi.com.

Matt: Going upstate to Warwick, working on a garden and cleaning out an old barn to make it habitable.

Amanda: Trying to spend as much time at the beach as I can.

Graham: Boating. I'm a member of the boating community. Also, eating lots of meat and fresh vegetables.

Amber: Traveling around the continental U.S. and throwing in some regattas on the West Coast.
